While the rest of America was busy condemning President Trump for refusing to explicitly condemn racist white supremacists for the violent clashes yesterday in Charlottesville, Virginia, The Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi website, had only praise for Trump.

Here’s the entirety of the site’s posting in reaction to the President’s comments on the violence yesterday:

“3:46 PM:

Trump comments were good. He didn’t attack us. He just said the nation should come together. Nothing specific against us.

He said that we need to study why people are so angry, and implied that there was hate… on both sides!

So he implied the antifa are haters.

There was virtually no counter-signaling of us at all.

He said he loves us all.

Also refused to answer a question about White Nationalists supporting him.

No condemnation at all.

When asked to condemn, he just walked out of the room.

Really, really good.

God bless him.”

If one can stand the stench of hatred and doesn’t mind polluting one’s browser history with the record of having visited such a nefarious site, a trip to dailystormer.com will reveal just how sick and twisted the mentality of alt-right white supremacists truly is.

The top banner of the site is emblazoned with the slogan–Summer Of Hate Edition–followed by a series of live updates from yesterday’s deadly demonstration. Besides the praise for Trump’s refusal to denounce their hateful agenda, the page is filled with lies, and vociferous statements of racism, sexism, and anti-Semitism.

For example, despite subsequent confirmation of the identity and political affinities of the driver of the car that killed and injured progressive counter-protestors at the demonstration as a Nazi-sympathizer, The Daily Stormer initially blamed the catsstrophe on “a left-winger”. After it was confirmed that the attacker was a white male Nazi-sympathizer named James Alex Fields Jr., they posted ” I think he’s Jewish.”

Perhaps even more outrageously, today they published an article profiling the woman who was murdered in the crash with the headline: “Heather Heyer: Woman Killed in Road Rage Incident was a fat, Childless 32-Year-Old Slut” and criticizing her for being “fat and a drain on society” (funny, they don’t criticize Trump for that grievous sin), for being “too fat to dodge a Dodge,” and for “protesting white men.”

The article goes on to now describe the killer driver as a “straight player” and wonders whether the outrage over the incident is “simply player hatred, rather than actually concern over the death of some useless sow.” Classy commentary, indeed.

The publisher of The Daily Storm is a man named Andrew Anglin. The Southern Poverty Law Center has a quite informative page about him with numerous examples of his bigoted and hate-inciting comments. It won’t take long for any discerning reader to see exactly what kind of execrable excuse for a human being Anglin truly is, but suffice it to say that prior to founding The Daily Storm, Anglin published a site called Total Fascism.

If this is the kind of person that President Trump counts among the group of followers he feels he can’t afford to alienate, then the nation has indeed sunk to a new low. The calls from every other sector of America for Trump to explicitly denounce white supremacy are loud and multiple. Yet the President prefers to revel in the praise from actual Nazis rather than condemn them for their evil and destructive ideology, an ideology that so many Americans died fighting against in World War II. Who would have thought we’d ever see a day like this in America?
