The nation was shocked when white supremacist marchers held a torch-lit vigil outside the statue of traitor general Robert E. Lee on Friday night, evoking the menace of the Ku Klux Klan rallies of old.
Short of actual torches, the alt-right marchers used Tiki torches – ironically, a Polynesian cultural product – to light their march in defense of their “white, European heritage.”
The company that makes Tiki torches, however, was not at all pleased to be associated with these miscreant racists and their white supremacy demonstrations.
The company took to Facebook to resoundingly condemn the use of their products as part of a hate rally – and in terms arguably stronger than those used by the President of the United States does!
Well said, Tiki. Now if only the President and his cronies could publicly do the same…
