Barely two months after its formal operationalization, the Nigerian Army’s 6 Division in Port Harcourt has stepped up operations to deter various criminal acts being perpetrated within its Area of Responsibility.
These operations are aimed at tackling oil bunkering, kidnapping, robbery, cultism, piracy and other crimes being committed in the Niger Delta.
On Monday and Tuesday, troops raided two oil bunkering sites as part of the operations, which the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Aminu Iliyasu, said in a statement today has recorded huge successes so far.
